Virtual School

DAY 31 since school closed.

DAY 21 of “stay at home” order.

“Darling Dear, did you pay the electric bill?” Woke up about 3:00 AM-ish to the buzzing sound of a generator. The power was out for most, if not all, of the neighborhood. For the first time ever, I reported a power outage. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to make it known we didn’t have power. Got a text back from DTE Energy that the power will be restored by 6:15 AM. Even received a text that it was due to equipment problems. I guess the transformer blew. Probably was a squirrel.

Happy to have the power back because today was the first day of virtual school. Started with a Google Meet with Peanut’s teacher and second grade classmates. By the end of the thirty-minute scheduled meeting it appeared most of the class was getting the hang of virtual conferencing. Welcome to the real world!

In our house, we decided to have Peanut take the lead in her education. I printed off all the worksheets for the week and wrote down the websites for the online learning. Peanut must pick four worksheets and one website a day. Things went smoothly today. Even got a lot of work done.

Nothing else to write about. Work-School-Wine-Repeat.
